A bow from the "Norseman"
This is a bow that Paul Kloster (Norseman on the Leatherwall) built for me .Paul uses regular bamboo and bamboo flooring to make a nice shooting bow.He is also very helpful anytime someone has a question about building there own bow and has got many started doing just that.

I also asked Paul not to put any overlays on the tips or cut a shelf.I wanted to fix the tips to use my skinny strings and would cut the shelf to fit the arrows I wanted to shoot. He built a very nice shooting bow that I hope to use to "raise the bar" with at our local 3ds . : )

I had no knowledge of building a bow such as this but wanted to try one. After talking to Paul through emails he agreed to build me one.I wanted a bow to shoot in the primitive class at our local 3ds and after seeing Paul's bows on several post I decided his would be a good one for that. The way the limbs have deflex near the riser gives the bow a forward handle type feel. This to me has always meant an easy bow to shoot in the glass bows I build.I felt it would be the same in a non-glass bow as well.I told Paul to build whatever type of bow he likes to build and shoot.I did not care about performance or looks.I just wanted a bow that would not hit me on the head like my own attempts at selfbows. :)
The specs: bamboo backed with 2 lams of bamboo flooring. The center core is dark colored.66" 47 @27
birdseye maple with purlpleheart stripe in riser
