My O.L. Adcock Longbow
A few months ago, I was trying to choose a custom bowyer to build my new longbow. Like most people, I searched the Internet for every site I could find to look at different bows. I had never seen or handled a high quality traditional bow, so all of them looked great to me.  I looked for weeks before I ran across O.L. Adcock's website. After reading his ideas about what makes a good bow and seeing the detail he put into his tuning pages, I had a pretty good impression of the kind of fellow Mr. Adcock was. I had a strong feeling I had found a bowyer who would go to great lengths to build the best possible bow.

I searched the Leatherwall forum for information on O.L. Adcock bows and asked for other people's opinions.  Everyone I talked to who had either owned or shot an Adcock bow had positive things to say about Mr. Adcock, his craftmanship and his bow design.  When I finally talked to O.L. personally, he was very polite and answered every dumb question I could think of to ask. He helped me with my decision on bow length and even poundage based on what I had been shooting and what I intended to do with my new bow. When it came time to choose the woods for the riser and limbs, I told him I thought Juniper would look good for the limbs and I left the rest to him. I just asked him to build a bow I will be proud of and to call me when it was ready. O.L did just that... and a full month earlier than his estimated delivery date! The bow is beautiful and shoots even better than it looks. If you want a great looking bow that will be every critter's worst nightmare, call O.L. Acock and just say 'Send me a good one'!  You won't be disappointed.

O.L's web address is http://www.bowmaker.net .  The pictures on the site truly do not do his bows justice.  I am so happy with O.L's work that I wanted everyone to see  what real craftsmanship looks like.

Thanks for looking.
