I shot this 8pt. from the ground with a blackpowder rifle as I was on my way to the treestand.

Billy with a nice deer taken at a place we always called ' The land of the ghost deer'. We would go there to hunt and see deer sign but never see any deer. Finally as the fog lifted one morning Billy was in the right place at the right time.

This deer I shot with my bow never knew he was hit. He just ate anouther acorn and laid down for a long nap.

This picture shows what people will do for the hunt. It is 1 am, we have a170 lb deer 2 treestands,1 flat tire and have spent several hours coming out of a swamp getting to this point. Skinning and butchering still ahead so we can go back in a couple more hours!
